What is the message you see when you look at this picture? I'm sure it is different for every person. The message you see is dependent upon your experiences, beliefs, and so much more. I am not the photographer, nor do I know the photographer. I added the text, but that is all.
I wanted to get across a powerful message, which called for a powerful picture. I was going to find a picture of someone walking across a rope bridge or someone climbing a mountain. But I found this picture and thought this would evoke the strong emotions I wanted it to evoke.
Or . . . . at least . . . that was my intention.
For me, this picture reminds me that in so many ways we have been out of integrity as a people. This picture tells me we often restrict the beauty of who we are by who we try to be because of the judgements of ourselves and others.
Unfortunately, we have restricted one another according to our race, gender, sexuality, beliefs, economic status, and so much more.
Yesterday, a well known online influencer posted a pic of his Lambo (No, it wasn't #TaiLopez).
I commented that I couldn't care less about his Lambo. I received a bunch of negative responses, including one calling me a hater. I don't hate the person who posted his Lambo. I don't even know the guy.
For some people, posting pics of their cars or is ok. I get it. You want to celebrate your accomplishments. That's not my style. I am not saying there is anything wrong with someone posting pics of their cars, homes, luxury vacations, etc.
Though, I am asking that in all of your online interactions to please stop judging and hating on others. And in whatever you post online, please make sure it adds value to your audience and doesn't just boost your ego.
If for you, posting a pic of your Lambo does that . . . then go for it! As long as at the end of the day you are in integrity with yourself.
When you are in integrity with yourself, it comes across in all of your interactions with others.
